About us
In 1969, the brothers David and Leo Kiesel started their own construction company in Paramaribo, Suriname. They aptly named the company "KIESEL," after themselves but also referencing one of the core ingredients of concrete, the pebble (kieselstone).
The brothers led the company for seventeen years, but after initially being acquired by the Reli Group, a shareholders' buyout took place in 1986, and three other brothers named Roël, Kenneth, and Eric Lim A Po took over the company. All three brothers had a technical background and managed the organization. Kenneth was responsible for overall management as the director, while Roël and Eric were in charge of operations.
After Eric’s passing and Roël’s reduced availability, there was a need in 2020 to expand the management team. Anthousa Karsodikromo-Lim A Po, with a business administration background, and Shaun Lim A Po, with a business economics and technical background, joined the team.
As of 2024, the company is managed by Kenneth, Anthousa, and Shaun Lim A Po, still partially supported by Roël. The company is in a transition phase, where in the near future, the shares and overall leadership will pass to Anthousa Karsodikromo-Lim A Po and Shaun Lim A Po.

Alupro
Alupro is a subsidiary of Bouwbedrijf Kiesel that has been delivering high quality aluminum products such as windows, doors, balustrades, serres and facades since 2002. Alupro is also the sole distributor of the high quality brands Van Beveren and Technal.
